The following series of tweets was sent out on January 3, 2014 (10:45 pm), as part of outreach for Tipping Point Action: Citizen Participation in Times of Unprecedented Challenges.
Two comments and two questions:
1) There are 14 different series of tweets being used for Tipping Point Action outreach. This particular series focused on insights relating to human morality—in particular that it is not a constant, and thus it is something which can become degraded or raised up, depending on the leanings of human aspirations.
2) The series of tweets posted earlier on January 3, were directed to groups in the Transition Movement; groups in the University/College Divestment Movement; people and organizations associated with Permaculture; and Green Party organizations (in the United States, and worldwide). In this series, the focus shifted to individuals and groups which have been recipients in the past for tweets about the “Invitation Package for Possible Board of Advisors (at cpcsc.info)”—Key organizations working towards mitigation of Global Warming; Key organizations working on hunger and poverty alleviation; a variety of organizations related to sustainable communities; and organizations which design and facilitate stakeholder engagement/collaborative problem solving processes.
Question: Can readers see the connections between these choices—that putting these categories together emphasizes related fields of activity, and possibilities for collaboration?
Question: The other 13 series of tweets also include many tweets--to share information from the document "Invitation Package for Possible Board of Advisors (at cpcsc.info)" (a key source of evidence relating to challenges and solutions). Any suggestions for tweet series which might be more helpful or useful to readers?

The Community Peacebuilding and Cultural Sustainability (CPCS) Initiative is issuing a Planetary Distress Signal.
We are at a critical point in the evolution of life on Planet Earth. We are now at a time when we need to examine our options very carefully.
“World is on the brink of ‘largest bubble ever’ in finance, because of undisclosed value of high-carbon assets on companies' balance sheets”
Bond markets shielded from effects of climatechange, ecosystem degradation, water scarcity?/$40 trillion of sovereign debt in global markets
We are in unprecedented times, w/ multi-dimensional challenges which require problem solving on a scale most of us have never known before.
“A List of Ten Critical Challenges” (1 page)/condensation of evidence from many documents cpcsc.info/planetary-distress-signal-campaign/
Everyday circumstances of community life, cultural traditions provide ‘frameworks’ by which people make judgments about what is important
Human morality is not a constant—it is not something which is the same throughout the centuries of human existence--
--and thus it is something which can become degraded or raised up, depending on the leanings of human aspirations.
“…every article in bazaar has moral/spiritual values attached to it… hence behooves us to enquire into antecedents of every article we buy”
“Invitation Package”/Exponentially Increasing World Population at a time when culturally acceptable to encourage indiscriminant consumption
Global media-entertainment revenues (2012)-$1,629 trillion/Worldwide Advertising Spending (2012)-$557billion/U.S. Ad Spending (2012)-$139.5b
Gandhi:“The satisfaction of one's physical needs must come at a certain point to a dead stop before it degenerates into physical decadence.”
Halting runaway global warming=Whole cultures need to find contentment and quality of life using much less materials goods and ecological services
swadeshi/”The smaller the circumference, the more accurately can we guage the results of our actions…” (J.C. Kumarappa)
“The Great Way is very level; but people greatly delight in tortuous paths” (Lao Tzu)(6th Century BCE)
“… there are truths which none can be free to ignore, if one is to have that wisdom through which life can become useful.”
Which human settlements more likely to be setting for resolution of critical challenges ahead: megacities or village, towns, small cities?
CPCS Initiative issuing Planetary Distress Signal: We are now at a time when we need to examine our options very carefully.
People not sufficiently informed about critical issues are everywhere--and investing their time, energy, and money—voting—all the time
Tipping Point Action—more emphasis on how people “vote” with their time, energy, and money, and less emphasis on electoral process “voting”
Community Visioning Initiatives = maximizing citizen participation in examining critical issues, exploring solutions options very carefully.
